 WSJ: Strong statement by Zelensky on Ukraine Independence Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin “will not dictate any of his red lines to us,” Zelensky said against the backdrop of forests and hills in Ukraine’s northern Sumy region. “Only Ukraine and Ukrainians will determine how to live, what path to take, and what choice to make.”

Ukraine has captured 2,000 Russian soldiers which allows Ukraine to trade for Ukrainian soldiers. 115 Ukrainian soldiers were released in an exchange on Saturday. Welcome home!

BBC: Telegram CEO Pavel Durov arrested at French airport

It has long been suspected that Durov has deep connections with the FSB. Telegram is popular among Russian military. It is unclear what the specifics of the charges are, but Russian politicians are up in arms.

The Hill: Congress must recognize Russia’s genocide in Ukraine

Rep Wilson and Rep Cohen are co-sponsoring Resolution 154 to label Russian actions a genocide. The Resolution has 42 other co-sponsors.

Rep Wilson (R-SC2) has been a true Ukraine Champion in Congress. Rep Wilson is co-Chair of the Ukraine caucus and Chair of the Helsinki Committee which recently held hearing on the Russian Torture of Christians, which featured testimony of Steven Moore of the Ukraine Freedom Project on the persecution of Baptists under Russian occupation.
