4/22 Now is the time to Support Congressmen who support Ukraine
I was in DC with Ukraine Action Summit organized by the American Coalition for Ukraine on Monday and Tuesday. The Summit does a great job of bringing voters to DC to speak to Congress.
The AmUkrPAC compliments this by bringing financial support to members of Congress who support the American Ukraine relationship. Same destination, different roads.
The top priority of the AmUkrPAC is to help the Ukraine’s champions in Congress.
To that end, the AmUkrPAC completed a fund-raiser for Rep Marcy Kaptur (Dem OH-9). Rep Kaptur was the founder of the Ukraine Caucus and remains the co-Chair. She has been the most reliable voice for Ukraine for over 2 decades. She is a leader fighting to pass the appropriations bill before Congress this week.
Ohio has moved from a Blue (2008 +5 Obama) to Purple to Red (2020 +8 Trump). She has won tough elections before and we are confident she will win again. AmUkrPAC is proud to support Rep Kaptur in her re-election campaign.
Rep Don Bacon (R-NE2) is a stalwart Republican supporter of Ukraine. Rep Bacon rose to the rank of Brigadier General in the US Air Force. He understands the military threat Russia poses and is strong voice for military aid to Ukraine. AmUkrPAC is proud to support Rep Bacon in his re-election bid.
Work is underway for several additional fund-raisers.
Rep Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA1) is the Republican co-Chair of the Ukraine Caucus. Pennsylvania has trended Blue lately and he is in a tough race. It is vital for the Ukraine community to support our Champions in Congress. AmUkrPAC is working with his Ukrainian voters for a fund-raiser next month.
Rep Susan Wild (D-PA7) introduced the recent bill highlighting the plight of the kidnapped Ukrainian children. She is a member of the Ukraine Caucus and strong supporter of continued military aid. AmUkrPAC is working with Ukrainian voters in her district for a fund-raiser.
We aim to complete 20 fund-raisers this year.
$60 billion in military aid is being voted on in Congress.
