The U.S. and Ukraine meeting in Saudi Arabia Bears Fruit!
A U.S. delegation led by Secretary of State, Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz met with a Ukrainian Delegation led by Andreiy Yermak, Zelensky’s Chief of Staff, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha and Secretary of Defense, Rustem Umerov sat down for talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia today to begin peace negotiations and resume discussions of the minerals deal.
Coming out of the meeting today, Ukraine accepted a U.S.-proposed 30-day ceasefire across the entire frontline. This cease-fire would then lead the way to a longer-term peace deal negotiation as well as opening the exchange of prisoners and returning the 19,000+ stolen Ukrainian children.
The cease-fire will require Russia's acceptance to go into effect. Secretary Rubio said in the press conference today, “We will take this offer now to the Russians and we hope that they’ll say ‘yes,’ that they’ll say ‘yes’ to peace. The ball is now in their court.”.
Later, President Trump bolstered this by saying, “Now we have to go to Russia and hopefully President Putin will agree to that also and we can get this show on the road. We want to get that war over with.”
Not only was the cease-fire agreed to between the U.S. and Ukraine, but the Trump Administration also agreed to resume military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
The AMUkrPAC sincerely thanks the Trump Administration for resuming critical military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
