Tales From World War III?

I have taken a narrow view of the fighting in Ukraine. I believe it should be called the War for Ukrainian Sovereignty, a battle to ensure Ukraine’s survival as an independent nation. It is a war which needs to be won in the battlefields as well as in the halls of DC, Berlin and Brussels.

Steven Moore, good friend, Ukrainian patriot and head of the Ukraine Freedom Project, takes a broader view of the fighting. He has taken to calling it the opening battle of World War III.

Recent news gives a lot of credence to Steven’s point of view.

ABC: NATO confirms North Korean troops deployed in Russian war on Ukraine

Thousands of North Korean troops are now fighting alongside Russians in Ukraine.

Another step which pushes the fighting in Ukraine into a larger battle.

The Axis of Evil is expanding its zones of attack.

Events outside of Ukraine give credence to Steven’s point of view:

WSJ: Russia Provided Targeting Data for Houthi Assault on Global Shipping

Russia provided targeting data for Yemen’s Houthi rebels as they attacked Western ships in the Red Sea with missiles and drones earlier this year, helping the Iranian-backed group assault a major artery for global trade and further destabilizing the region.

The assistance, which hasn’t been previously reported, shows how far Russian President Vladimir Putin is willing to go to undermine the U.S.-led Western economic and political order. Russia, in this case, supported the Iran-backed Houthis, which the U.S. designates as a terrorist group, as they carried out a series of attacks in one of the world’s most heavily traveled shipping routes.

CNN: Alleging ‘Russian special operation,’ Georgian president calls for protests over disputed election

Before Russia invaded Ukraine, it spent years undermining Ukrainian elections. Tragically, it is doing the same in Georgia.

Salome Zourabichvili, (President of Georgia) as she defiantly announced, “I do not recognize these elections. Recognizing them would be tantamount to legitimizing Russia’s takeover of Georgia … We cannot surrender our European future for the sake of future generations.”

“On election day, ISFED documented serious violations, such as ballot stuffing of ballot papers, multiple voting, unprecedented levels of voter bribery, expulsion of observers from polling stations, as well as instances of mobilizing voters outside polling stations, collecting their personal data, and controlling their voting intentions.”

Sadly, Wars are dictated by the Revisionist Powers. The West can only prepare itself for the worst eventuality. Let’s make sure America is ready for any challenge.
